Frank Casanova was leading Apple’s iPhone wireless carrier marketing efforts until his position changed recently. According to his LinkedIn profile, Casanova is now “responsible for all aspects of Product Marketing for Apple’s Augmented Reality initiative”. AR could soon arrive on the iPhone as well, as there are reports talking about a 3D-based AR camera for the 2020 iPhones.

E-commerce leader Amazon is acquiring mesh Wi-Fi company eero for an undisclosed amount and unknown terms. Eero sells Wi-Fi routers and extender beacons to consumers who intend to spread a single network across the entirety of a building while controling certain aspects of the connection from certain areas. The company also sells a pacakge of security services under its eero Plus banner which includes VPN routing, password management, antivirus software, ad blocking and more.
